Tynd Table
Built as a necessity to host our family's thanksgiving in 2015 (to break the news of our incoming son), I had 2 weeks for completion, including design, material acquisition, fabrication and finishing. One of the design requirements included a structure that was completely open underneath to allow for future blanket forts. The cork was a veneer wrapped around a structural plywood, which allowed for the minimalist structure. The last photo demonstrates the success of this endeavor.
